To enroll in this class, your dog must have completed Novice class or demonstrated equivalent skills.
This class will teach dog/handler teams the exercises necessary to compete in AKC-Sanctioned dog shows in the Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) class. These include:
- Heel off leash
- Figure eight
- Drop on recall
- Retrieve on the flat (retrieval exercise)
- Retrieve on high (retrieval exercise)
- Broad jump
- Out-of-sight long sit and down

All 4 week classes are $60. MEMBERS:All 6 week classes are $65. All 4 week classes are $45. Early registration is recommended as classes fill quickly. Walk-ins will only be accepted if the class is not already full. Classses are kept at a max. of 12 students except for the puppy classes which are limited to 10 students. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AND NO TRANSFERS TO A SUBSEQUENTLY SCHEDULED CLASS. There is a $25 fee for any returned checks. All classes are subject to change; classes may be modified or added as needed Before completing the application, call the GKCDTC information line to get the actual starting dates for upcoming class. Requesting an application by phone DOES NOT GUARANTEE a spot in the class = registration is not complete until the application and check are received by mail or dropped off at the training building. Confirmations will NOT be sent; however, you will be called if the class is full or cancelled. There is a $20.00 charge on returned checks.
